HADDON (CHN)
NSS HADDON (CHN) is a strong, durable slate with excellent reliability and performance in the UK and European markets. It naturally splits from the block to give a relatively flat smooth fine grain surface with slight longitudinal texture. It is free of any reactive mineral inclusions and conforms to the requirements of BS EN 12326 with a W1 T1 and S1 specification. NSS “HADDON” (CHN) slates have been tested at the stringent testing laboratories of N. Wales with excellent results in all categories and has great strength characteristics to meet the demands imposed by the most severe of climatic conditions.
Sourced from one quarry, the production process handled by one site ensures only slates from this location are supplied to Northern Slate. Having worked with the quarry the slates are professionally palletised and presented to give maximum protection during transit, shrink wrapped and labelled with BS EN Certification and pallet codes for product traceability.
NSS HADDON (CHN) a natural product defined by its unique colour and surface characteristics, is a smooth fine-grained slate with slight tonal variations in shading and texture, more visible in direct sunlight, overtime all slates will weather naturally in conjunction with the climatic conditions of the site location.
As a benchmark for quality and selection you should ensure the slates meet the requirements detailed within the “Northern Slate quick quality check list” to ensure you are receiving the very best slate for your proposed natural slate roof.
When installing a natural product, it is advisable to work from several different pallets during the loading and fixing of the slates to ensure a good mix of colour and texture across the roof.
ORIGIN: The “HADDON” (CHN) natural roofing slates are extracted from a deposit in the Shaanxi province of China and produced for Northern Slate by the Zhenping Prosper Slate Quarry
